Waitangi Weekend

C L A N G ! The bowl hit the ground.

If you’re wandering what happened I will gladly tell you. It all started like this…... I ran out of my mum’s car then I saw that my friends weren’t at the Chinese Temple. So I waited about two hours then finally, my friend Patrick came with his mum and little sister. Then my other friends Kelvin and Anthony came with their mum and grandma. We played and played, talked and talked then it was time to eat. I ate potatoes and some sushi. When we were eating, I told my friends about a person playing a game calling his castle “Jesse von Jessenstien.” Then my bowl tipped and my food spilled on the ground. I had to clean it up all by myself. At the end of the day, we got fruit, said goodbye and went home.

I wished that I could see my friends everyday because they were fun to play with.

A Walk Along The Beach

‘‘CRACK!’’ ‘‘OOOWWW!”

‘‘These rocks are really slippery,’’ dad said in a grumpy tone.
Dad and I went for a walk along the beach Sunday of Waitangi weekend. The rocks were very slippery that my dad slipped off one!

“What’s this?” I said to myself. “Is this what I think it is?” “It is! Dad I found ten dollars!”I shouted in a surprising voice.
“Liar,” said dad
“No, seriously I found ten dollars.” I showed my dad the dirty, old note and he said “WOW!”

We went to grab the note stuck in the rocks and mud. Then R r r i p ! “Dad you ripped it!” I yelled. “No you did,” he yelled back. We started to yell at each other all the way home.

At the end of the hot but fun day we both felt tired and exhausted and thought it was time for some nice cold ice cream. Of course we bought them with MY money!

BALLOON CHALLENGE - 3

When was the last time you had three challenges which included a balloon?

You might be wondering why I’m asking this question. It’s because in Room 5 on 15 March we were having another spectacular balloon challenge.

Our first game was so exciting because we had to hold each others hands to make a circle. Then we had to make sure the balloon did not touch the floor. It was tricky. Then we went back to our teams, Jabberwocky Monkeys and Blue Stars. I was with Jabberwocky Monkeys. The second game was to put the balloon between both of our ankles. The Blue Stars won the challenge. The last game was my favourite, because it went like this. Two people had to put the balloon between their shoulders. My team won that challenge. ‘YAYY!’ I said but Blue Stars won two games out of three.

Well I was so proud of my team and happy for Blue Stars. I felt exhausted. I hope the next time will be exciting like that Thursday.

FuN, FUn, FUN

Balloons can be different colours, shapes and sizes.

Room 5 had the second balloon fun challenge. “Blue Stars vs. Jabberwocky Monkeys”. I was in Jabberwocky Monkeys with Anna, Darrelle, Agnes, Giovanni, Carlos, Kryzjon, Johnny and Julius. The first task was passing the balloon over and under. The Blue Stars won that challenge.

Then it was the next game. It was to put the balloon between our knees. When it was time for Darrelle’s turn the balloon went POP! Blue Stars were already sitting down. Before Jabberwocky Monkeys continued we had to blow up another balloon.

Everyone had to have a partner for this game. It was to put he balloon between their backs. Blue Stars won again.

I felt that all the tasks were exhausting and challenging. But at the end of the day we all were winners.

Balloon Fun Challenge

Ever wished your team was going to win a challenge or a game but you actually lost?

On Friday Room 5 had a balloon challenge when morning tea and reading/spelling was finished.

First, we got into our two teams, Jabberwocky Monkeys and Blue Stars. The first game was over and under. The team that won was Blue Stars. For our second game we had to put the balloon between our knees. It was funny because when Darrelle was running with the balloon it actually popped! And we had to blow up a new one and start again. Then you will not believe it Blue Stars won again! It was kind of sad but we were hoping in our last game we would win. We had to find a partner that was the same height as ourselves and then put the balloon between our backs and walk with it.

My team Jabberwocky Monkeys won. Jabberwocky Monkeys were really happy that they won the last game but still sad because in the first and second games Blue Stars won.

It was really an exhausting day for Jabberwocky Monkeys and Blue Stars but honestly I have to tell you that it was an awesome day for Room 5 especially Blue Stars.
