Dear Sir/Madam
I am writing a letter to complain about the witch that tried to cook my brother and
I in her oven.
She locked my brother in a cage for four weeks. She wanted to make my brother
fat so she could cook him in her oven for dinner.
You have to do something about this because the witch will try to cook more and more children. If you want to talk to the witch she lives in a house made out of candy in the middle of the forest.
Yours sincerely,
Gretel

Guy Fawkes
Fireworks are very dangerous for children under five years old. If you want to use fireworks make sure there's an adult with you at all times.
Well I had to ask my dad if we could light up some fireworks on Saturday 5th November, and my dad said "Ok but I have to buy the fireworks first." So dad went to buy the fireworks. When he came back he said "We will only use half of the fireworks and the other half is for New Year." I said, "Ok." Then we only needed to wait until sundown. We waited and waited and finally the sun went down. It was time to light up the F I R E W O R K S. And so Guy Fawkes had begun!!! The first fireworks we lit was a fountain. It was so cool! The fountain looked like a mini volcano spitting out lava everywhere. Then we lit a few more. After we finished I helped my dad to clean the backyard. Then my dad went to bed. But I was still awake. I was writing in my diary about how much fun I had that night. I can't wait until next year's Guy Fawkes and New Year 2012.

FUTSAL COACHING
Did you ever play a game that uses a ball and whenever it goes over the line the game stops instantly?
Room 5 had a special opportunity to play Futsal. It’s a little bit like indoor soccer.
Every Friday after morning tea Room 5 (my class) goes out and plays futsal on the bottom court. But on Friday 2nd September we had futsal inside the hall because the court was wet and slippery and it was raining. We got into our groups. There were two groups of boys and two groups of girls. My groups was called the Futsal Queens. There were four players, Angelina, Soana, Joanna and I. When we arrived at the hall we saw Juliano with Room 7 and they were playing a game. Then it was our turn to use the hall. The Futsal Queens had green bibs. They played against the yellow bibs. When the game started Joanna kept kicking the ball out. Everyone was blocking me. Then I almost scored a goal but I slipped on the ball “ouch”. At the end of the game the score was zero for both teams. But it’s not about winning, it’s about having fun. I had lots of fun, I enjoyed playing Futsal very much.

GUM SHOULD BE ALLOWED AT SCHOOL
I think having gum at school is a great idea.
Firstly, you can have fun by making big bubbles with it.
Secondly, children can chew it for a long time.
Finally, it tastes good and it has different flavours.
So that’s why I think gum should be allowed at school.

All Children Should Get Holiday Homework
I think that giving children holiday homework is a great idea.
Firstly, it can help them get good grades.
Secondly, it can stop them from getting bored.
Finally, they can get more smarter.
So remember that giving homework is a good idea.

St Patrick's Pool

St Patrick’s is not an ordinary school because they got something awesome on their tennis court. In the second week of the holidays they got a swimming pool. In the pool there is a chemical called chlorine. The chlorine makes the water clear and it helps to keep the pool clean. Now you must be wondering where St Patrick’s got the pool from in the first place? Well it came from Watersafe Auckland. They let St Patrick’s use it for free. Watersafe Auckland lends swimming pools to schools so children can learn how to be safe in the water. St Patrick’s is a very lucky school.
I felt nervous when we got the swimming pool because I thought it would be really deep but the water came up to my neck.
