77 Claw Cat
Flip Flop
Jandale

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am unhappy about people baking. For the past two weeks people have been baking and eating.

My girlfriend was freshly baked. When we were on a date she was dipped into some warm milk and eaten but I have managed to escape from the people.

Please Mercy Energy stop the people from eating us, and give them less power!

Yours sincerely,
The Ginger Bread Man

Wind Chimes

"We're almost there," I said nervously trying to get it done and over with.
Ring.... Ring .... .. went the bell. "NO!" I said "We were almost finished."

It was a challenging day for the team and me. We were so close to finishing our windchimes, but sadly no.

In Technology we were learning about wind chimes and our teacher had decided we would make our own wind chimes to sell on Mission Day. If you don't know yet, Mission Day is when our school fundraises money to give to the Mission Sisters. They give the money to the places around the world that need it most.

We had all the parts and pieces ready and only one detail to finish.
We had some problems making our wind chime but managed to solve them. The part I enjoyed was when we added some beads as stoppers so the nylon string couldn't slide through the holes in the hanger.

DON'T Hit My Face!

“Ha…. No! Don’t…. hit….. my….. face!”

On a hot, sunny day Room 5 went to play another active game of futsal. I was up and going like the hare in The Hare and the Tortoise. We (all the girls) rushed to the top court to start our game of futsal.
Juliano ( our Brazilian coach) said, “Futsal Queens and Futsal Champs start off first.” As we played both teams kept kicking the ball out of the court and they got no goals. Then it was Lace Ups versus Futsal Queens. Both teams were short of players. So Lace Ups chose me and Futsal Queens chose Frankie. Frankie and I were goalie for our teams. And that was when it started. Futsal Queens came right up and were kicking the ball at ME! Ooooooh dear, I thought they were going to get a goal but then ...... ha…Ha…HAA like the speed of lightning I saved the ball! Because I realized that the Futsal Queens were going for my beautiful face and so I put my palms out in front and saved the ball from hitting my face just before the whistle.

Never in my life had I experienced that. I had a fantastic time playing another game of futsal and I can’t wait to play next time.

RUGBY WORLD CUP 2011

Mmmmmm….. ice cream! We stopped to get some yummy, vanilla ice cream before heading over to Mt Wellington. Friday 9 September was a glorious night. I was so excited to get there but then….. WOW! It was packed by the time we turned on the road opposite McDonald’s. My family and I were so surprised because there was no parking at all for us. We finally got one. There was only one minute left before the fireworks. I started counting very, very, slowly all the way to ten. Then I walked to the edge of the mountainside and filmed the fireworks blooming, like little flowers on the first day of Spring. We were there to celebrate the first match of the Rugby World Cup 2011. I got all the footage of the fireworks and it was just in time, before we went home. I was tired and I soon fell asleep, hoping that the All Blacks would win against Tonga!

St Patrick's Shouldn't Have Rubbish Bins

I think that St Patirck's shouldn't have rubbish bins.

Firstly, birds come flying by and pull out all the rubbish from the bins.

Secondly, the school looks gross and smells bad.

Lastly, rubbish flies out of the bins and nobody picks it up.

That is why I think St Patrick's shouldn't have rubbish bins.

BUBBLE TIME

“Tag!” We were playing tag near our swimming pool till Chris came back from somewhere. Anyway we were going snorkelling. There were less boys than girls in the group. When we got into the pool Chris told us to put our snorkelling gear in the water to get warm so it doesn’t fog up. He showed us to dive under water with our snorkelling gear on. Also he showed us how to blow out all the water that gets in the tube where we breathe. It was cool learning how to snorkel. We played a game. What we had to do was dive under and grab the things that were in the water, then let go of them. It was so much fun snorkelling. We did our snorkelling on Tuesday instead of Monday because there wasn’t enough chlorine in the pool. I can’t wait till I do it again.

BASEBALL

"B" What's so great about that letter? What's so awesome about the letter "L" too? Did you know that those letters are in the word "baseball" ? We had baseball like always on Thursday. My class versus Room 6. First we did warm ups. We had to throw the ball to the other person. My partner was Dehnyse. Dehnyse and I were having fun until Oooops! I hit her nose with the ball. I ran to the teacher to help Dehnyse. She was Ok but I had no one to throw the ball to. I stood there like a tree. Then I got someone to throw the ball to. Soon afterwards we played a game called Tee-Ball. It was fun! In the end Room 6 won. I didn't care if we lost as long as we had FUN and as long as we worked as a team. I can't wait for next time. I hope it will be even more fun than ever!
