The Wild West Gang by Joy Cowley
My favourite character was uncle Leo because he always made jokes. The funniest thing that happened was when one of the West kids brought a dead rabbit into the bedroom. The scary part was when the Wests went camping and then uncle Leo was making ghost sounds. I didn't like the part when the dead rabbit was brought into the house. I would recommend this book to Room 4 because this might be the first chapter book they read.

Uncle Leo is a bit of a clown. Sometimes I think he's just a big kid because of the things he comes out with, like encouraging the children to have a mud fight with each other on a Sunday morning after church. Well done for recommending this book to Room 4. I'm sure they'll enjoy it as much as we did.
